The web site Directory is divided into eleven different sections. Each section title describes the sort of services provided by the organisations listed there. These sections are:

The organisations/services in each section are listed in alphabetical order. At the end of each section there is also a list of other organisations which you may find useful, plus information on where you can find details of them. If you are looking for organisations which provide a particular type of service then you can go to the relevant section and look through the details to find the contacts you need.

National Organisations
Our aim is to provide information about services which are local to the people of Carmarthenshire. However, where we do not have details of available local services we have included contact information for relevant National Organisations. You will find these listed in alphabetical order in the National Organisations section.

List of organisations/services
This is a complete alphabetical list of all the local organisations/services listed in the Directory. If you know which organisation you are looking for you can go to this list and find out the section in which it appears. Then turn to the section and you will find the details of the organisation you want listed in alphabetical order.
Subject index
This is an alphabetical list of subjects relating to children and families. If you are not sure which of the sections applies to the subject you want, then you can look it up in this index. Next to the subject you will find a list of all organisations which provide relevant services, and the sections in which they appear. You can then turn to the sections shown and you will find details of the organisations you want listed in alphabetical order.
Glossary
This is a list of definitions of some technical words which appear in the Directory. If you come across something you don't understand have a look in the Glossary to find out what it means.
Special Needs
If you are looking for support services for children with special needs look in the Subject Index and in the List of organisations/services. You will find the relevant organisations marked with an asterisk (*). We have not provided a separate section for these because we see children with special needs as children first and foremost - not as a separate group.
